Hello Lovelies:

Are you as obsessed with ice cream as I am? I’m going to go ahead and bet on yes! That stuff is so well loved it probably has it’s own fan club. Which is why, when I first stepped into the healthy foodie world, I was determined to find healthy, homemade ice cream recipes. Seriously, who wants to live without it? The internet provided… but I was super bummed by how complicated it all seemed. Until I discovered banana ice cream (sometimes lovingly called nice cream <3).

Banana ice cream is a must try! It’s incredibly quick and simple to make, super delicious and totally adaptable! This strawberry banana ice cream is a family favourite. Hubby and I can’t get enough. I bet you’ll love it too!

Why not treat those adorable little taste buds to something yummy this week?

Why I’m a Huge Fan of Banana Ice Cream

It’s about far more than my love (addiction?) of bananas… and while this recipe does have a banana flavour, a lot of banana ice creams actually don’t. I’ve got 3 more recipes right here that don’t taste strongly of banana if you want more options.

Moving past the banananess… my adoration for banana ice cream comes from my lazy side. Sometimes I want a treat that takes little time and effort and can be enjoyed immediate if I’m really feeling it. Most ice cream recipes don’t really do that.

No offense to my ice cream maker. I love that thing. But super fast and simple ice creams just aren’t on it’s resume.

But banana ice cream answers all of my prayers! And not only is it super freaking delicious, it’s also raw and incredibly nutritious!

You can enjoy this strawberry banana ice cream right away if you’re down for a soft serve consistency. And if you’d rather have something you can scoop on a cone or into a bowl, just pop it into a freezer friendly container and freeze for an hour or so. Voila! Perfect little scoops.
