These baked donuts are vegan, gluten free and refined sugar free. And oh so sweet!
Pre-heat your oven to 350.
Prep your egg replacer. (Should you choose to use an egg is this recipe, please support ethical farming practices by buying from local farmers who raise happy, healthy chickens.)
In a small bowl combine your ingredients and whisk until you have a cake batter consistency. Let the mixture sit for 15 minutes so that it can thicken.
Grease your donut pan with coconut oil, pour the batter into each of the six donut molds and pop in the oven. Cooks in approximately 25 to 30 minutes. Test to see if the donuts are done by skewering it with a thin bladed knife or toothpick. The knife should come out clean with no streaks of batter (a few crumbs are ok).
Let the donuts cool to room temperature. Frost with maple butter and enjoy!
