Delicious, vegan chocolate covered banana pops. Delightfully sweet and simple to make. Only 4 Ingredients! Treat yourself to this healthy dessert.
Slice your bananas in half (through the midsection)
Insert a Popsicle stick into each banana slice. Place on a wax paper or parchment lined baking sheet and freeze until firm (1 to 2 hours)
If your coconut oil is solid, melt under low heat. Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly (but do not let it sit long enough to solidify).
Mix in the cacao powder and maple syrup until well blended.
Dip each banana piece in the chocolate. The chocolate should set quickly. You can dip multiple times (I recommend 2 to 3 layers) so you have a thick chocolate coating.
Optional - When you've reached your last layer of chocolate, sprinkle with chia seeds or almonds before the chocolate sets.
Enjoy right away or freeze until you're ready to serve.
