Navigating Coronavirus – 3 Powerful Things To Remember

Hello Loves:

These are incredibly trying times. And there is so much that we can’t control, which makes it all the more stressful.

So I wanted to take a minute to share a few gentle reminders to help you through this difficult time with the coronavirus.

Deep breaths. We’re in this together.

1. Your Feelings Are Valid

A man sits in the snow on a bench and looks out at the water

It’s ok to feel what you need to feel. There is no “right way” to feel right now. You’re allowed to be sad, scared, anxious, frustrated, mad… These are your feelings and they are valid.

It’s ok to feel them, express them (with kindness and compassion for those around you, who are also struggling) and work through them as they come and go.

I hope that you know that now is the time to be gentle with yourself.

2. Know That This Is Temporary

A long tunnel with light shinning at the end

What we’re experiencing with the coronavirus absolutely needs to be taken seriously. Self-isolation and social distancing are the best actions that we can take as a society to relieve the burden on our health care system and flatten the curve.

But that doesn’t mean that this is easy.

So I want you to remember that this is temporary. This will eventually pass.

That doesn’t mean that you can’t struggle with this (if you’re feeling that way, re-read the last point and take a few calming breaths). I just want you to know that this is not your forever. It’s your right now. Take it one day at a time and remember that this will pass.

3. We Are In This Together

The words "Make people feel loved today" are painted on a wall. A reminder that we are all navigating the coronavirus pandemic together.

You are not alone in this. We are cohesively experiencing this together. And, as always, we are better together.

Let’s (virtually) lean on each other, sweet friend. Kindness makes the world go round. Even when it feels like it’s stopped spinning.

Health and love,

Thought of the day: We’re in this together.

These are all wonderful points to keep in mind. I have said that social distancing is not emotional distancing. We can still support one another.

This is all very important to remember! There are too many people hurting others.. we’re all in this together and must support each other through this. Even if it’s through the internet and messages, every little bit counts right now while people feel lonely and scared.

my favorite was “we are in this together”. the thing that bugs me the most are the people who are congregating in big crowds on beaches and hiking trails despite orders. we need everyone to work together to flatten the curve.

It’s scary to think we are all in this together, but in all of this, I wouldn’t want it any other way. We can relate and be more compassionate with each other.

Yes it is so important not to get stressed and deep breathing is a sure way of controlling our anxiety. I too believe it is temporary and we together with discipline would be able to tackle it without any doubt.
