Dairy Free Vanilla Milkshake with Maple Whipped Cream

Share The Love!

Hello Lovelies:

Last Sunday, during our weekly scheduled ‘Walking Dead’ hang out, I found myself craving a vanilla milkshake. Ice cream was a comfort food growing up and part of a serious mother-daughter hang out tradition. I think my Glenn withdrawals (seriously… I NEED TO KNOW) left me needing something sweet and distracting. Like a Vanilla Milkshake…

In typical Health-Esteem fashion I went to my kitchen and got creative. What I came up with is pretty freaking good if I do say so myself. And I do! This delicious, dairy free super star will leave you licking the bowl! And to top things off I threw in some Maple Whipped Cream for extra goodness.

You should treat yourself too! Here’s the recipe for this delicious, dairy free vanilla milkshake:

Dairy Free, Gluten Free, Vegan Vanilla Milkshake with Maple Whipped Cream - Healthy, decadent recipe.

Vanilla Milkshakes with Maple Whipped Cream

This recipe is Dairy Free, Gluten Free and Vegan. Serves 2.

Ingredients

1 Cans of Full Fat Coconut Milk (Refrigerate Overnight)

¼ Cup of Maple Syrup

1 Frozen Banana

2 Pinches of Cinnamon

2 Tsps. of Vanilla Powder (Like This)

Instructions

Toss all of the Vanilla Milkshake ingredients into your blender and mix until smooth. Scoop blended goodness into your favourite tall glasses and enjoy with a spoon or straw! Try to hold out until the whipped cream is ready… if you can!

Maple Whipped Cream

Ingredients

1 Cans of Full Fat Coconut Milk (Refrigerate Overnight)

2 Tbsp Maple Syrup

Cacao Nibs for topping

Instructions

Scoop out the solid fat from the coconut milk can into a small mixing bowl. Save the leftover liquid for a delicious smoothie! Add the maple syrup and whip until smooth.

Add the Cream to your eagerly awaiting vanilla milkshake and top with Cacao Nibs.

Try not to inhale this goodness in one gulp! Enjoy it with someone you love… or use it to comfort your sorrows while you wait for news of Glenn’s safety. They just cast Negan, so we may be needing a lot more vanilla milkshakes in the future.

Health and love,

These look amazing! Can I use vanilla extract instead of vanilla powder?

Thank you! You absolutely Can! I typically use a cap or two full of Simply Organic Vanilla Extract when I don’t have powder or beans handy :). Enjoy!
