Have you ever heard of Golden Milk? It’s an incredible, anti-inflammatory powerhouse that Health-Esteemies like you and I should be drinking on the regular! But I have one teeny, tiny problem… Golden milk is served warm, and I am not a fan of hot drinks.
I know, I know, tea is such a wonderful thing and hot chocolate is where it’s at… but when it comes to tea I like it iced. Even when I enjoy my own Hot Chocolate Recipe (which you can get your hands on here) I let that baby cool down. A cozy cup of something delicious and warm may sound like heaven to many, but it’s just not my cup of tea (I’m chuckling at my word play like a dork right now, just fyi!)
For that reason I’ve been hesitant to enjoy the wonderful qualities that I knew Golden Milk would provide. Golden Milk is made by boiling your favourite dairy free milk with turmeric, ginger and honey and letting them simmer. You end up with a nice, warm, golden drink full of all of the nutritional goodness that turmeric and ginger have to offer.
The warm part has turned me away from the idea… but the turmeric part kept pulling me back in. Which is why I decided to turn it into a delicious, cold golden milk smoothie!
